Run your own

Your server, our domain: yourname.xitter.space.

  1. Apply for a name with your server's address. Staff review it.
  2. Set up Xitter on your server with PUBLIC_ORIGIN=https://yourname.xitter.space and a web server that gets its own certificate (Caddy does it by itself).
  3. Go live once it answers with your rules. Open a pull request to federate.
Your rules must cover everything FEDERATION.md bans. One instance per account; a name can be taken back if the instance breaks the rules or stays down.
